Usually, the construction of a crown or veneer takes about two weeks. CEREC is a system that allows Dr. Raymond del Castillo and Dr. Douglas A. Deam to place custom-made, all-ceramic restorations in one visit.

When you come in for a ceramic restoration, our dentists will first remove a small amount of enamel to allow room for the restoration. Then a digital impression is taken of the tooth for the construction of the veneer. The restoration is then designed on the computer. Using CEREC, our dentists can construct the veneer during your appointment. Then, they will check the fit and make any necessary alterations. Lastly, the restoration is permanently cemented it in place. Because CEREC restorations are made and placed in one visit, they eliminate the need for temporary crowns. This not only saves you time, but money as well.

Dr. del Castillo and Dr. Deam will select a shade of ceramic that closely matches your teeth when constructing your restoration. Our office also has an oven for further customizing the color of crowns and other restorations.
